Dr. Heflin can't remember a time when she wasn't immersing herself in veterinary medicine- running around a house that was more like a farm at times with animals ranging from saltwater fish to cattle and everything in between.
She was born in Fort Worth, Texas. However, her family moved when she was young and she grew up in a small rural area in dairy country: Stephenville, Texas. Dr.
Heflin graduated with a bachelor's in biomedical science at Texas A&M as a member of the Fighting Texas Aggie Class of 2016. She took some time off after being injured then came back to Texas A&M to get her DVM and graduated in 2022.
Since then, Dr. Heflin has practiced as a feline-only veterinarian with a passion for geriatric and end-of-life care as well as surgery.
When she's not working, Dr. Heflin can be found tinkering with one of her many projects or playing video games. Often, her cats can be found lounging along with her, Annie, and Charmer. Though she has many animals that she considers her "extended pets," kind of like extended family, at the Stevenson Companion Animal Life Care Center at Texas A&M. Whom she tries to go visit as often as she can.
