Dr. Janelle McMahan was born in Orange, California, and raised in McGregor, Texas at 9 years of age.
Upon moving to Texas, Dr. McMahan’s family had multiple pets growing up that sparked her dream to treat animals (dogs, cats, rabbits, goats, mice, hermit crabs, a parakeet, and a chinchilla).
She completed her undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University in 2016 and spent time in the Dallas area as a veterinary technician before she came back to College Station to graduate with her doctorate at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine class of 2022.
Dr. McMahan’s interests in the veterinary field are exotic medicine, preventative medicine, and surgery.
On her time off, she spends her free time with friends & family, running, Zumba, playing video games, and playing with her cat Makkuro.
“Best Staff Ever! Everyone always greets you as if you are part of their family. Even when they get super busy, they still pay attention and take care of you promptly and professionally. Ellen is wonderful at taking care of my basset hound whenever she boards. I am always relaxed knowing my pet is being loved and cared for.”
